To Friends, Supporters and Members of our Lovers Lane Deaf Ministry and Walnut Hill Church:

The Lovers Lane Foundation is blessed with the SEEDS scholarship endowment funded by an anonymous donor who held our former Deaf school and community close to her heart.

The SEEDS Endowment is intended to primarily fund one or more scholarships for Deaf students or Deaf children participating in the Deaf ministry or other ministries of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church.

If you or anyone you know is interested in scholarship help and meets this simple description “Deaf students or Deaf children participating in the Deaf ministry or other ministries of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church”, please submit a scholarship request to us no later than May 21, 2025. In your written application, please include:

Student’s Name Student’s Address Student’s Resume School the student is planning to attend Academic accomplishments the student has achieved up to this point Major or degree or certification student is working towards Address of the Financial Aid/Scholarship office of the school student is attending or planning to attend Recent Grade reports Student ID number at the school the scholarship will be directed to A written essay by the student (or ASL video recording)

Please include:

A brief description of what Deaf ministries and other church and community activities you are involved in;
A brief description of your academic results and achievements so far in your education;
What will you use the scholarship funds for (e.g. tuition or fees do you need help with) and attach any tuition, fees and other statements you have, if available
How you might serve the LLUMC Deaf and church community in the future.
References of those who know your involvment in church and community activities. (List their email contact. We may contact these to confirrm your involvement)
What positions of leadership or service have you provided, or hope to provide?
Anything else about yourself that you think the scholarship committee should consider in their deliberations.
